Human Handoff gets a page

The reverse of delegation was always the weaker half of the loop. It just cleared the promotion bar.

Delegation gets all the attention — the brief, the scope, the dispatch. But the return leg is where trust is actually won or lost: how does finished (or stuck) work come back to a human?

Human Handoff cleared the promotion bar this week: Claude Code's session-summary-plus-diff handoffs and Codex's diff-as-product-surface make two independent vendors solving the same problem with screenshots to prove it.

The anatomy that emerged from the sightings: a summary (what was done), a diff (the reviewable artifact), decisions (choices made on your behalf), open questions (what couldn't be resolved), and next actions. The most interesting tension: the summary is written by the party being reviewed.

The page is live at /patterns/human-handoff, and this story is the start of its thread — every future sighting, status change, and story accumulates there.
